Marta is a CFM (Center For Mindfulness UMASS) certified mindfulness teacher, working for the past 20 years. After completing a Master’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Padova in Italy, she studied the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program with Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Leading classes and retreats in meditation and mindfulness in Italy, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Canada Marta is now living in Scotland studying at the University of Aberdeen for a Master’s Degree in Mindfulness.

Marta Regina Mindfulness and Qi Gong SantosaMarta explains “there was a time in my life in which I was struggling, desperate, sinking into despair with all of my exits blocked. I felt a deep-seated panic swell up inside me, trapped in an endless uncertainty about my future.

Meditation saved my life! Practicing every day, my despair and loneliness receded farther and farther away and I began to believe in myself and in life again. It wasn’t easy practicing in that situation but the motivation to keep meditating was given by the situation itself. I had realized that in order to let fear of the future go and allow the events to unfold fluidly I had to meditate. Step by step, I found my way back to happiness and now I am very stimulated to continue with this practice.”

Marta is also a certified Qi Gong trainer for more than 6 years, having trained in Chinese Qi Gong with Chen Liansheng and with Li Xiao Ming, and holds a black belt and practises in Vietnamese Kung Fu.
