What is Forrest Yoga? A Forrest Yoga with Jane workshop

Join Jane Mann in this 3-hour workshop breaking down the elements of her weekly Forrest Yoga classes here at Santosa every Monday. This Sunday morning workshop covers:

  • mindfulness
  • optimal breathing
  • integrity in asana (yoga poses)
  • hands-on assists (for those that feel comfortable with adjustments)

Mindfulness – Jane’s classes are trauma-informed and body-based, using language to guide each student into feeling what’s going on in the body. Beginning the workshop with a short mindfulness practise and continuing in this body-based exploration throughout the workshop.

Optimal breathing – Forrest Yoga encourages a focus on the breath, it really is everything! Learn how to breath in a way that ignites your core, can provide pain relief and feels goooood!

Integrity in asana (yoga poses) – Boundaries are one of Jane’s passions, both on and off the yoga mat. In this workshop,  we will feel into boundaries and exploring edges in our practice.

Hands-on assists – to assist or not to assist? – only with consent, is the question and answer! First, we’ll cover what does consent look like in a yoga class and then, where wanted, explore some hands-on assists.

Cost: £35 or £25 for students/retired/low income
